At the invitation of GE Yang, CEO of Cexing Technology, UN Ocean Conference Liaison in China and one of the initiators of the Deep Blue Voyage 2035 global ocean expedition, Ashok Adiceam, Chief Executive of France's Neptune Deep Sea Exploration Mission and Deputy Special Envoy of the President of France for the UN Ocean Conference, will visit Shenzhen and attend the China Marine Economy Expo.

He noted: “I am truly looking forward to my next visit to Shenzhen, to witness first-hand the dynamic growth of Qianhai and China’s blue economy. The Neptune Mission has always emphasized deep-sea exploration, technological innovation, and global cooperation. I hope to take this opportunity to share France and the EU’s latest perspectives on sustainable deep-sea governance, and to explore new avenues for collaboration with China and other Asian countries. With initiatives such as ‘Deep Blue Voyage 2035.’ I firmly believe there is unlimited potential for Sino-French cooperation in the ocean sector. Shenzhen is a city of innovation and an ideal starting point for the blue future. I look forward to contributing at CMEE to open new possibilities for future China–France ocean cooperation.”

The Neptune Mission is an international public–private partnership platform designed to advance scientific exploration and governance innovation in the deep sea and areas beyond national jurisdiction, contributing to global ocean sustainability. The initiative brings together research fleets, space agencies, universities, enterprises, philanthropic organizations, and youth groups to support marine science, technological innovation, governance mechanisms, and public engagement. Its aim is to break down international barriers and drive transformation in the global ocean governance system. Key highlights include: a cross-disciplinary research framework covering the ocean surface, deep sea, and seabed; data provision, capacity building, and technical support for sustainable governance; and expanded opportunities for innovation and public engagement through initiatives such as the Neptune Fellows program and ocean forums. The mission also supports the growth of the blue economy, fostering emerging industries such as marine biotechnology and carbon capture.
